All’s right with the world.
It was a bit difficult trying to stay within the word limit with so much to talk about, but I think all of the major points were covered.  One thing [...]

Gainax has been posting a series of lectures about the animation process, presented by key members of their staff, on their website.  These are apparently in-house orientation lectures, meant to be used to train incoming animators, because some of them are stated to be from 2007 or 2008.  They weren’t recorded on video, but Gainax [...]

There have been several new merchandise announcements lately, mostly of actual “figurines” (hurray) instead of just “Evangelion…the $5,000 USD repainted bicycle!” (boo), so we’ve gathered up all the news in one convenient blog post.  Thanks to forum user “Demi” who submitted most of these updates.  Furthermore, in the past few weeks there was a bit [...]

This allowed “Volume 12″ to at least be finished, and it was released to much fanfare this past March (it outsold the current copy of best-selling series Bleach). Even after Rebuild of Eva 2.0 was released in theaters, we heard no news on the manga for months.

On November 13, 2010 By

Two new official Eva calendars are being produced for 2011.  The first is from the official Eva Store website, featuring original artwork from Takeshi Honda (one of the original Gainax members).  The artwork itself is kind of fanservice-y, including an intimate Rei/Mari picture.  Ritsuko isn’t in the set at all, not even paired with Maya [...]

Rumors are swirling that Hideaki Anno’s new personal production studio, Khara, is severing all ties with Gainax…that Anno has become infuriated at Gainax and disowned them; a company he was a co-founder of.  Sources from Gainax warn that without the anticipated income from Khara’s Rebuild of Evangelion movies, Gainax will cease operations within 3 years.  [...]

The surviving remnants of the manga comics industry have all banded together into a new anti-piracy coalition, to combat illegal sharing of their titles over the internet.  Too little, too late?  How does this affect Evangelion manga?
How did we reach this crisis point?
For those of you completely out of the loop:  since the advent of [...]
